Some links on this site earn us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not decide which bike goes first — several of the bikes we rate most highly pay us nothing at all.

The plain-English version
When you click certain links on this site and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway. That commission is how the site is funded.
Every page that carries an affiliate link says so above the first one, not only down in the footer.
Amazon Associates
Pedal & Pint is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We earn from qualifying purchases.
Which links earn, and which do not
As of September 2026, Amazon is the only retailer we have an affiliate relationship with. Every other outbound product link on this site is an ordinary link that earns us nothing.
That includes the manufacturers we recommend most often. woom, Guardian and Prevelo pay us nothing. We have no affiliate relationship with any of them, and they sit at the top of several roundups here anyway. If commission decided our rankings, those pages would look very different.
How our links work
Product links route through a redirect on our own domain (/go/…) so that a retailer or program can be changed without rewriting the article. Those links carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and open in a new tab, which is what Google's link policy asks for and what the FTC expects in practice.
Prices
We never type a price into an article. Prices render from a live data layer, dated on the page, or the button says "check price" instead. A price typed by hand goes stale within weeks and is then a lie by omission.
Where a live price is shown it carries the date it was retrieved, and if that data is more than 48 hours old the number disappears rather than misleading you.
Editorial independence
No brand has paid for placement, for a favorable position, or for review coverage on this site. No manufacturer sees an article before it is published. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the page in question and here, in the same release.
