Who we are

Pedal & Pint is published by Iron Mako Media. You can reach us at mike@blackironathletics.com.

What we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get read and which links get clicked. It collects standard web analytics data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site — in aggregate. We do not use it to identify individuals.

Contact form. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Affiliate links. When you click an outbound product link, the retailer may set a cookie that tells them we referred you. That is how commission is attributed. We do not receive your personal information from the retailer — only aggregate reporting about whether a purchase occurred.

Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. The contact form applies a short-lived per-IP rate limit for the same reason.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels. We do not require an account, and there is nothing to log into.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish repeat visits. Retailers set their own cookies when you click an affiliate link. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works fine without them.

Children

This site is written for parents, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be deleted, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email mike@blackironathletics.com and we will act on it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Related reading: affiliate disclosure and terms of service.
